Stop by Jarid's Corner and discover country charm with casual elegance. Located in sunny Saltair on a tranquil one-acre valley property, this bed and breakfast is just minutes from downtown Chemainus.
Nestled between mountains on one side and farms on the other, the accommodations are a new addition, separated from the house by French doors. However, this does not mean that Jamie and Ingrid are not more than happy to help any time of the day.
3 large rooms, each with private bath, entrance, and porch
"Deluxe Room" has queen bed and twin futon, fireplace, VCR, large soaker tub, separate shower and robes.
"Nootkanook" has a queen plus a twin bed.
The "Nootkanook" offers a northwest and native theme with a thoughtful touch.
The "Navajotel" features southwest decor, queen bed and double futon.
The Deluxe "Home Suite Home" with its gas fireplace, large soaker tub, separate shower, and VCR with large Movie selection. We also provide fluffy white robes. Each of the accommodations has a private bath as well as a private entrance for added serenity.
Breakfast is a gourmet delight at Jarid's Corner, featuring homemade dishes that never let you go away unsatisfied. Coffee and tea are brewed daily and freshly baked delights (apple cinnamon buns, or herb sourcream biscuits) make you feel right a home.
Breakfast entrees might include asparagus and ham crepes with a light cream mustard sauce, belguim waffles with blueberries, or our own fruit and pepper salsa wrap, fresh melon, and orange juice. The most considerate feature is that it is served in the comfort of your own room or private porch whenever you choose to have breakfast.
Chemainus
Just a few minutes from Jarid's Corner is the lovely town of Chemainus. Play a round of golf, charter a sail boat or take a horse-drawn carriage tour and experience the quiet beauty of the town. In the evening, enjoy the local dinner theatre which features six major plays a year.
Best of all, Chemainus is world-famous for it magnificent murals as well as its artists' shops and pottery studios. This quiet part of the world is perfect for collectors or for visitors who just want to find that perfect piece of art while browsing through the countryside.
