Overlooking Okeover Inlet, these chalets are perched on a hillside surrounded by tall cedars and firs.
Desolation Sound Resort is located at the upper end of the Sunshine Coast at the end of highway 101, where civilization ends and the wilderness begins.

Some of our chalets have private hot tubs on the decks. What better way to relax after a day of kayaking, boating or hiking! Each of the units is constructed with native wood and local craftsmen have lent their talents to creating custom designs with a west coast flair. Many of the chalets reflects these talents in the intricate wood designs inlaid on the walls and floors. These chalets are of varying sizes and some can accommodate up to 8 persons.
Y-Knot Terra-Centric and Pristine Charters have various options for you to explore Desolation Sound Marine Park and the hundreds of miles of rugged coastline of beautiful British Columbia. They offer various chartered and scheduled trips to Desolation Sound, by boat, zodiac, or hiking or for those who would like to explore on their own, Y- Knot has power boats for rent.
For those avid kayakers, let Powell River Sea Kayak take you on one of their many guided trips and end the day at the Laughing Oyster Restaurant
You can get to us by car from Vancouver . It is about a five hour trip from the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal in Vancouver to us. The closest towns to us are Lund and Powell River.
